Another block that we see with goals is that we get so wrapped up in the activity that we forget our intentions. Intentions are what keeps us motivated when everything seems pointless so maintaining intentions throughout the year is important for reaching your goals.
You should have written your intentions (or your why) at the beginning of this month when you filled out your planner. If you haven’t yet, now is a great time to do it. Think about why you started and what the overall goal actually is. If you just want to wear a size 2, that’s great, but it’s not enough. Your health should be the goal so you can spend more time with your kinds or have longevity of life.
Once you have your intentions, write them everywhere. Post it notes, the doodle section of your planner, on a mirror with lipstick. Get creative and plaster your intentions in a million little places you can see throughout the day. This will keep you continually motivated throughout the day. This will also help you be more intentional with your time.
Bonus hack: Put your intentions as a phone background! Then every time you go to get on your phone to waste time with apps you’ll see what your focus is and choose the better option instead!
