How to Celebrate Christmas to the Fullest
Tis the season to be jolly! In the next few days your schedule will be packed with parties, dinners, and celebrations. You will feel joy, stress, frustration, and excitement, all wrapped in pretty paper and bright sparkly bows. In times of stress, it’s easy to back down and settle into the frustration, but this year, we want to encourage you to fully live this holiday season.
Unplug from Technology. There’s nothing worse than realizing that the holiday came and went and you completely missed it because you were too busy uploading photos and adjusting filters. Take photos, yes, but obsess over how many likes you have, pass. Covid has taught us that connecting is important. Take time to fully connect with your friends and family.
Create a New Tradition. 2020 could use some fun and magic. Think about something you’ve always wanted to do or try during the holidays, but couldn’t. If you aren’t able to travel, now is the perfect time to put these dreams into action. Cook the food you like, exchange books on Christmas eve, have your own candle light ceremony with your kids. Make a new memory!
Focus Quality Over Quantity. This year, there’s a lot of pressure to make the holiday extra special. You might catch yourself wanting to spend more on gifts or to overload your family with meaningless items in hopes of creating joy. Avoid this at all costs! Remember that the gifts YOU cherish most are the gifts with thought and meaning, not necessarily the gifts with the biggest price tag.
Overall, enjoy this season of rest and togetherness. Find your happy and recharge for a better new year!
